The Ministry of Agriculture BC releases The 2017 Agrifood & Seafood International Export Highlights.
BC exported 520 agrifood commodities and 193 different seafood products in 2017. Agrifood shipments contributed 67 per cent ($2.6 billion) and seafood shipments contributed 38 per cent ($1.3 billion) to the $3.9 billion total. At $512 million, farmed Atlantic salmon continued to be the #1 export commodity in British Columbia agrifood and seafood with a 13 per cent share of the total value.
