I am a senior level Food Operations Professional looking for the next opportunity.

I have spent the last 30 years building experience and knowledge over a broad segment of the food industries in British Columbia. Twenty of these years in various progressive rolls in management, from foreman to general manager of multimillion dollar organizations.

CAREER OBJECTIVES:
Seeking a Senior Management career position with a strong, dynamic and established company. A business that is looking to grow and develop new markets and opportunities with enough challenges to keep me motivated and stimulated. April 2007 to January 17, 2012

• General Manager of Delta View Farms Ltd Ownership change November 2011
• Director of Gipaanda Greenhouses Ltd.
  Gipaanda supplies all the tomatoes to BC Hothouse and has 120 unionized employees.
  I am responsible for all the aspects related to the company including Quality control and assurance GMP/ HACCP, product development, maintenance inside the buildings and the property, purchasing, logistics, human resources, Labor Relations(union), production and continuous improvement.(implementation of full lean program) Organizational Liaison to Work Safe BC and all other controlling bodies.
• Current member of the BC food processors Food Safety and Operations Committee.
• March 2010 Elected Director of FARSHA (Farm and Ranch Safety and health Association)
• Trained lean / Improvement facilitator. (green belt level)
• Lead Negotiator for the 2011 union contract

September 2004 to April 2007

• Operations Manager with CreekSide Custom Foods, the manufacturer of Bread Garden and others well known brands. In charge of all plant operations and including a fleet of trucks, 90 unionized employees and a 15,000sq facility. Handling a budget of $12M+ and all other financial aspects of day to day operations during rapid growth. Product development and production engineering of some well known healthy snacks while keeping continuous improvement as a key component.

August 2003 to September 2004:

• Production, QC Manager, Plant Operations and Research and Development with Pacific Salmon Industries. In charge of all plant activity including Shipping and Warehouse.
  Management  of 3 Production Supervisors; 5 Lead Hands and Production Staff of 60 to 120 (Seasonal).
