Vantage Foods is a private, family owned business and operates four state of the art food processing facilities.  We call these facilities Service Centres, which provide unique, case ready service programs for fresh meats to progressive retailers; nation wide in Canada and in the southeastern United States.

Our business focus is clear:  providing our retail food customers with defect free products with daily service levels greater than 98.5% at the lowest processing costs in the industry.

The Function
Reporting to the Chilliwack Service Centre General Manager, with functional reporting to the Chief Food Safety Officer, you will facilitate a team atmosphere within the Service Centre while developing a systematic approach to food safety through Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs and ensuring compliance with Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.

The Individual
You have already demonstrated the ability to contribute through a strong work ethic, natural enthusiasm, and implementation of Quality Assurance programs.  Confidence and proven communication skills are evident and easily allow you to establish solid interpersonal work relationships, both inside and outside the Company.  You have a passion for troubleshooting, problem solving, and developing and implementing process/quality improvements and standards, while meeting finished product specifications.  You have a reputation for cooperation, resilience, and personal effectiveness.  You identify with the demands of a food processing manufacturing and operations environment under rigorous safety protocols and are proficient in the Microsoft productivity tools of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
